CITY, COUNTRYSIDE AND BEACH IN CUBA

For a 7 to 8 days- stay in Cuba, we can arrange a combination for you to enjoy the city, visit the countryside and relax at the beach. Our team will provide all the information you need and more.

This experience will include a portion of your stay in the city where you will enjoy a walking tour of the vibrant old town where you will be dazzled by its architectural wonders, this will be led by a professional guide. You will also be part of a ride in a convertible old car through what is called Modern Havana, the waterfront and some areas of western Havana. The evenings in the city will be filled with music at La Zorra y El Cuervo jazz club, Jazz Café club, and Fabrica de Arte Cubano, one of the most famous art and music complexes in Cuba and the world.

At some point in your visit you will depart to Viñales, located in the westernmost province of Pinar del Rio. This is considered a pre historic area for all the fossil remains found on some of the limestone of the mogotes (typical elevations in this particular part of the island). This visit will include sightseeing, hiking or horseback riding through a farm where you will learn about farming tobacco and other crops, and the local procedures for the preparations of cigars by local farmers.  In the evening you will be part of that party that happens every evening with live music at the cultural center in this little colorful town.

And the time to relax at the beach will be in Varadero, considered one of the most beautiful beach areas in the world and located in Peninsula de Hicacos in the province of Matanzas, driving East from Havana. You stay there for pure leisure. You will have a two-night-stay at a casa particular in Varadero a couple of blocks from the ocean. All your needs will be covered easily. Your casero will be of great help to find what you need.

Food won’t be an issue, we will give a list of options, including vegetarian, seafood and farm-to-table restaurants. We’ll facilitate reservations at the time of your choice.

Transportation will also be arranged by our team.

By the end of this hectic trip, you will feel that you want to see more, enjoy more and learn more of this island in the Caribbean.

Day 1

• Arrival in Havana.
• Check-in at a casa particular (private accommodation).
• If early (5-6 pm), a convertible tour ride can be done to see the sunset (without a guide), ending with dinner and a cocktail at the Hotel Nacional.
• If very late, an orientation or information meeting with the concierge or guide to discuss the itinerary.
• Optional: FAC, Zorra y Cuervo, Jazz Café, Casa de la Musica, among others.

Day 2

• Walking tour in the historic center with a local guide (2-3 hours).
• Free time or visit to the National Museum of Fine Arts, artist galleries, Museum of the Revolution, among others.
• Optional: FAC, Zorra y Cuervo, Jazz Café.

Day 3

• Departure to Pinar del Rio to visit Viñales (2 ½ – 3 hours transfer).
• Lunch at a local restaurant: Mural de la Prehistoria.
• Walking city tour.
• Check-in at a casa particular.
• Free time.
• Dinner at the casa.
• Local cultural activities: Casa de la Música or Las Cuevas nightclub.

Day 4

• Outdoor activities: hiking or horseback riding in the morning, tour of the farm.
• Lunch at a local restaurant (this may be included).
• 2 pm return to Havana.
• Free time.

Day 5

• Departure for Varadero.
• Check-in at a casa particular.
• Free time on the beach.
• Local cultural activities: The Beatles club, Parque Josone, among others.

Day 6

• Stay in Varadero.

Day 7

• Time on the beach.
• Departure for Havana.
• Souvenir shopping at the craft market.
• Check-in at a casa particular.

Day 8

• Check out.
